Scott Callan writes and performs as Montana Book Club, a name borrowed in appreciation of William Finnegan's Barbarian Days. Previously a member of the post-rock instrumental band The Oresund Sound, Scott's self-published work with Montana Book Club is rooted in simple, plaintive songwriting.

Montana Book Club's new EP, Tenor, is now available. Mixed by Josh Powell (Map Room / Portland, OR), Tony Sanfilippo (Oxide Lounge / Bloomington, IL) and Scott Callan (Wren's Nest / Orlando, FL), Tenor pulls together songs collected over the past decade and dresses them up in pedal steel, strings, and drums.
