Upcoming Workshop: Taking Your Acoustic Demos to the Next Level Without Breaking the Bank

with Jud Caswell, Award-Winning Singer/Songwriter, Owner/Engineer at Frog Hollow Studio. Topsham, ME

May 11, 1-4pm, Unitarian Universalist Church, 1 Middle St., Brunswick, ME

In this hands-on master class, Jud will help you develop the skills you need to use the perfectly-good gear you already have, the shrewdness to buy only the toys you really need to improve your sound, and the wisdom to know the difference.  With a focus on recording vocals and acoustic guitar, we’ll discuss everything from mic choice and sound conditioning to mixing and mastering, and will have plenty of time to answer your specific questions.

We would love a couple of volunteers to bring in a song and their own microphones to serve as a demonstration of techniques and choices – reach out to MSA, via info@mainesongwriters.org to let us know if you’d be willing to do that.

Given the hands-on nature of the workshop registration will be limited.

$25 General Ticket

$22.50 for full MSA members
