Chuck
Williams

Chuck Williams has been appearing throughout New England and in recent years has been up and down the east coast with his music. Raised in Toledo, Ohio, Chuck has lived most of his adult life in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts, moving to the Buzzards Bay shoreline in 2002. His writing has been gaining notice throughout song circles and he has earned several awards for his finely tuned craft. He can take you on a journey that makes you think, smile and at times want to cry. He has been traveling to coffeehouses, performing arts centers and festivals sowing seeds of his songs along the way.

Rhode Islands Motif Music Awards has nominated Chuck as Singer/Songwriter of the Year ('07, '08, '09, ‘11), for Album Of the Year ('07, '08 and ‘10) and Best Folk Act (’07, ‘12).

Recent honors came in 2018 with the release of ‘Stories I’ve Told’ which debuted on the FAI Folk DJ Top Album Chart. Chuck was also a finalist at the 2018 South Florida Folk Festival Songwriting Contest.

Chuck is a member of Folk Alliance International, NERFA, ASCAP, ACMA, RISA and the Maine Songwriters Association. Chuck was the president of (RISA) the Rhode Island Songwriters Association for 9 years and stays in touch with the board.

There seems to be a proud and strong tradition of folk music speaking truth to power within his tunes. Don DiMuccio, Motif Magazine
